Indie Ships

Following the "pilot riots" of the late 2200's, a corporate to public Transfer of Technology (TOT) agreement was instituted by the Kuiper Belt mining factions. Finally pilots were able to own their ships outright with total access to the advanced on-board technology.
Throughout gameplay, a player with a Corporate ship may come across unique resources that allow them to craft a Chain Node. This device, when attached to a ship, allows the owner to slowly untether it's connection to the local corporate factions and instead assume full ownership. Once converted by the player, A Chain Ship is unique and tradeable Digital Collectable stored on blockchain.
Without the corporate ship owner taking a cut, a pilot can better take care of their family back on earth.
A small number will be sold in the store and can be purchased with fiat and/or the $STFU token, this is planned to be 10% of a ship/factions total available supply.
The remaining 90% of supply will have to be “created” through the in-game crafting and minting process (Conversion of Corporate to Independent Ship).
Note that only 1 Indie ship per account can be purchased from the store in the initial wave sale. After a certain amount of time, if there are any Indie Ships in a given batch remaining, players will be able to purchase multiples.
Indie Ships can be be traded on a secondary marketplace between players
Indie Ships have access to blockchain mechanics - when playing matches the player will earn $STFU at time of launch with more blockchain based crafting resources for unique cosmetics and UGC tools in the future.
Indie Ships have the opportunity to receive unique Indie based cosmetics
